Registration for 2010 - 11
Dear friends and family of GEMS, Cadets and Kingdom Kids,
It was great to see many of you at the Information Open House. I'm excited to be together again for another year. We are gearing up to begin on Wednesday, September 8th. In order to prepare we would like to hear from all of you. Please contact me if you are interested in participating this year, so that we can get your children registered and be ready for them the first night. To ensure we have supplies for your child by the first night of club we need to hear from you by the 29th of August. Also, let me know if you are unable to participate this year.
The schedule for September 8th:
5:45 - 6:30 Pitch-In dinner (if your schedule allows please join us)
6:30 - 8:00 Kingdom Kids (co-ed 4 and 5 year olds) - Nursery/Preschool Wing
GEMS (girls in 1st through 8th grade) - Commons
Cadets (boys in 1st through 6th grade) - Sunroom
Thank you,
Irene Vanderlaan

Wednesday Meetings - March and April
For the next three Wednesdays our church has special services: a Prayer service at 6:00 followed by a shared meal at 6:30 (everyone brings a main dish or dessert to share). Because of these services, our Club Night this week will begin at 7:00 and end at 8:00, and next week we will begin our service project at 7:00. For next week's service project we ask each family to bring a dozen cookies. At 7:00 we will have a time of prayer for our first responders, then we will have a cookie exchange, and afterword each family will have a dozen cookies to take to a local fire station (we will have a list for you to chose from). The third Wednesday that the church has a Prayer service (3/31) we will not be meeting. We will not be having our typical pitch ins at 5:45 for the next three weeks, but you are welcome to attend the prayer service and/or shared meal that follows. Attached is our church's newsletter in case you want to know more about the Prayer and Fasting services.

Serving at the Ronald McDonald House of Indianapolis
The Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from-home for families of children who are being treated in area hospitals, primarily Riley Hospital for Children. You have the opportunity to bless these families by serving a meal for 30 - 50 houseguests on Saturday, February 27th from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. We will also need to plan for set up and clean up. This is a family event: children must attend with a least one parent present for the entire evening. Only the first 30 people (adults and children) will be able to attend this event so sign up at the sign in table as soon as possible. An additional date for serving may be added if there is enough interest.
How can you serve?
1) sign up to go serve the meal on February 27th
2) sign up to provide a meal item or paper product
If you are unable to attend, please consider supporting this project by providing a meal item or paper product listed on the items needed sheet at the sign in table or contact Sheri.
